Meet Details: Proceeds from this race go to Relay for Life. AHS is asking for a $2 donation at the gate for spectators. Concessions will be for sale.
Meet information From Meet Director:
- Gates and stadium will open at 4:50pm,(football practices on field)
- Park busses on Duncan donuts side (student parking lot)
- Pay at gate $50, you will be receipted.
- Teams will be asked to set up outside football field.
- A biker will lead all races, and will follow last runners
- Coaches meeting at 5:40pm at finish line.
- Bring sharpie to write runners numbers on left arm.
- We are asking $2 donation at gate for spectators, all money will go to Relay for Life.
- Please ask parents to bring no dogs to the meet, we had issues last year, thank you
- We will have concessions.
- We will have a 1st aid tent under the score board.
- I want this to be a fun meet!
- Top 7 in JV races receive medal and top 10 varsity, they will be given as they finish.
- Please clean up after your team!
- We will give top 3 runners from each team a 20 yard head start for safety issues
- Please clean up your area!
***Coaches please watch your runners, especially at the end. If you have a runner who typically runs a 5k in 20 minutes and he finishes in 17, odds are he missed a loop. Please pull them before the finish line.
All runners must complete 2 loops before entering the stadium.
· 1st loop they go past the lower parking lot
2nd loop they go through the lower parking lot.
**** For All races top 3 runners from each team will start 20 yards a head of the field. This I hope will decrease the log jam as the runners exit the baseball stadium. My number one concern is safety, and I do not want any runner hurt!!! So Coaches please designate your top 3 runners and I will call them out at the start of each race. Also please remind the other runners not to speed thru the top runners. There is plenty of race time for them to catch up during the race.
LCS Specific Details: We will be leaving LCS at 4:00PM. Runners need to bring a snack/small pre meet meal to eat after school. It would also be fine for runners to leave and pick up something to eat and be back to school by 3:45PM. We will be meeting in Coach Ross' room before we leave for the meet. This meet is for JV and Varsity runners only.
