2017 Hare & Hounds Invite
Men
LCS XC had a solid day at the Hare and Hounds Invite at McAlpine Creek Park on Saturday, September 23rd. Drew Zink became the first ever runner at LCS to break the 17 minute mark in 5000m/5K in posting a personal record, seasons best, school record 16:39.16. Drew also placed 3rd in a VERY competitive field of runners in the boys invitational race. Kinser Hudson, Curtis Hermes and Thomas Cruz also posted personal records in the invitational race and sophomore Jonas Guffey posted a seasons best time as well. The Eagle Men placed 6th out of 47 teams in the invitational division. In the open race Swicegood, Wiltshire, Renegar, Tibbits, Wilz, Rhodes and Xavier Ward posted seasons best times and personal records.
Women
Our ladies had a tough race slot as the temperatures began to increase to make the race uncomfortable and very dusty. However there were some high points with Megan Minaudo continuing to shine week in and week out with another personal record and season best time. The Guffey girls had seasons best and personal records as well as Mackenzie Gavin and Alyssa Wright.
