Ramble by the River RECAP

2017 Ramble by the River

Finally cooler temperatures for one of our team's favorite destinations to compete.  Bright sunny skies and crisp mountain air provided great conditions for some fast racing!

Men's Side
Senior Kenny Schild continues to move back into his old form with a very respectable seasons best of 17:45 just six seconds shy of his personal record from 2014.  After a very exciting week with his verbal commitment to Methodist University for XC, Indoor & Baseball he is keeping his foot on the gas peddle for a very successful senior season.  Curtis Hermes ran a seasons best/personal record and accomplished a major milestone in breaking the 18 minute mark giving the men's team three runners under 18 minutes.  Cutter Law ran a PR of 18:14 and Jonas Guffey ran a seasons best of 18:51 only 15 seconds off of his personal record of 18:36 set last season at East Lincoln.

The men finished a very respectable 2nd place behind 4A west power AC Reynolds.

Women's Side
After a month of battling injuries there are still some very bright spots on the ladies team.  Senior Emily Elliott ran a very respectable 21:30 only three seconds off of her PR.  Megan Minaudo continues to impress.  Her improvement/progression through this season has shown her grit and determination.  Megan will make a strong run at being the #1 girl on the LCS roster by seasons end.  Megan bested her seasons best/personal record by 50 seconds and ran a 21:45 moving her tied with Caity Born for second on the depth chart.  Sophomore Emma Lasarsky destroyed her PR with a time of 22:05.  Also interesting to note, Emma ran a 24:04 at the same meet last year as a Freshman.  Hard worker, determined, bought in, trusts her coach and the process!  Sophomore Alyssa Wright continues to impress and has worked her way into a seasons best/PR every race this year and 6th place on the eagles depth chart.  Emily Guffey set a new PR and Senior Grace Cary set a new SB time.

The women finished 4th out of 16 teams and 6 points ahead of 1A West opponent Murphy.
